Forza on PlayStation Ends an Argument I Lost Fifteen Years Ago
Based on reporting from Engadget

Microsoft is bringing Forza Horizon 6, its biggest racing series, to the PS5 in January. Another exclusive stops being exclusive, and the question that follows is whether buying a console for its exclusives still makes sense.
I can answer that from the losing side.
I owned every PlayStation from the first to the third. Then I moved to PC, and I spent years without God of War, as a fan of God of War. I genuinely considered buying a PS4 for one game. I did not, and eventually I played it on PC, along with Ghost of Tsushima. The Horizon games are still waiting for me. Nothing was lost except time, and the only thing the exclusive ever bought Sony was my resentment.
So on PC the arrival of Forza on another console changes nothing. Everything lands here eventually. The advantage of this platform is not the catalogue, it is patience.
If you do buy consoles, the calculation now runs the other way. If playing on day one matters to you, exclusives still decide it, and you buy the machine the series lives on. If it does not, you should be choosing the ecosystem, and that is a different comparison: what the subscription costs, how the company treats the people who already bought in. Sony has spent the last few years losing me on exactly that. Game Pass is cheaper for how I play.
So, do I buy it? If I were buying a console today it would be an Xbox, and I would keep playing on PC alongside it. Not because of the games, because of the terms.
